This Final Research Project is for a class called Advanced Computer Architecture at UTB/TSC under the Computer Science Department.  We will design, build, test, analyze and report on our findings of processor performance gains on a multi-core processor, as opposed to single core, of a self-balancing robot resembling an inverted pendulum.   This robot will be capable of sensing surrounding environment data through sensors and autonomously avoid obstacles. Nevertheless, to avoid mishaps, human control is only a switch away.  Wink

Processors arrived on Friday.  I'm just waiting for the programming module to start running some sample code.

things to do:
1.1 page report on topic
2.Revive 10 A123 cells that have been in storage for over 2 years.  It won't be easy, but manageable.
3.Create electrical components mount
4.Debug sensors
5.rest

The Prop plug(programmer) arrived!  First circuit is done.  Several successful programs were implemented in the spin language.  Tomorrow I'll add the gyro and accelerometers using ADC's(Analog-to-Digital Converter).  Finally, progress is imminent  Wink
